STRATEGIC PLANNING, PIERCE COUNTY MASTER GARDENERS

Beginning summer 2020, I began the strategic planning process for the country’s inaugural Master Gardener Program in Pierce County, Washington. The plan developed in Pierce County serves as the foundation for all other counties in the state. The process involved developing standardized procedures and terminology, goal setting, outward-facing program booklets, and program evaluation from internal and external stakeholders.
